lately I've been getting a lot of request for some process paintings. I guess you guys just want to see how I work and which is fine. Well it doesn't happen often I know, but I made one for you now. Hope it clarifies some of the questions I've been getting.

Thanks for wip.
ReplyDeleteReally great, is immersed in this world very easily.
Which method do you use to apply your color palette?
ReplyDeleteFor that value range, it seems like it may be difficult to find a layer mode that 1) doesn't blow your range and 2) applies color with a fair amount of saturation. For this kind of value range, I've been using a color layer and then sampling the value of the area I want to color and then simply adjusting my hue/saturation sliders in HSB panel. Cumbersome, to say the least!
thanks Kairo.
ReplyDeleteJoshua:
I usually paint on top or under the sketch with a soft brush and some custom brushes set on Overlay. I always get my sky to work first and the rest of the image should take care of it self. And in the end if your image turns out too monochromatic, just go to the adjustment filter and find 'Vibrance'.
Oh my god.... Vibrance...
ReplyDeleteWhy have I not known about this?!
And great piece. Thanks for posting!
